Paraíba

Paraíba is a small northeastern state whose capital João Pessoa sits at the easternmost point of the Americas — the first city on the continent to see the sunrise. The state's coastline, stretching past the idyllic Praia do Amor and Baia da Traição, is dotted with coconut groves and calm reef-sheltered beaches, while the interior sertão preserves a living tradition of forró music and leather craftwork.
