Tepuis, savannahs and indigenous lands

← Todos los estados

Roraima is Brazil's northernmost state, bordering Venezuela and Guyana on the edge of the Guiana Highlands. Its dramatic landscape of tepuis (ancient sandstone table-top mountains), vast savannahs and Amazonian jungle hosts some of Brazil's largest indigenous territories, including lands of the Yanomami people. Boa Vista is the only Brazilian state capital located north of the Equator.
