Amazon river, açaí and Círio de Nazaré
← Todos los estados
Pará is one of Brazil's most biodiverse states, dominated by the Amazon River and its vast delta. Belém, the "city of mango trees," hosts the Círio de Nazaré — the largest Catholic procession in the world, drawing over two million people annually. The state produces most of the world's açaí supply, and the Marajó Island, at the Amazon's mouth, is larger than Switzerland.
